30DS: Day 4

I’m happy to say that I did not ache as much this morning! wooo!

Did the workout today, even though i had barley any time to! I’m glad I did though 🙂

I was quite bad and ate out at a Harvesters today. I did have a jacket potato instead of chips, and a lower calorie option than what I would usually have. I also didn’t finish my main because I was too full. But was super naughty and had a dessert!

Keeping up with my workouts though, sooo hopefully a little naughtiness isn’t too bad. as long as for the rest of this week and next week I’m super good.

30DS: Day 3

This morning I was very achy, especially my quads and calves. walking to and form work helped to stretch it out a bit, but i still felt very stiff and sore.

Did the workout still, and it was hard. particularly the strength sections. the cardio wasn’t as hard on my calves as it was yesterday, don’t know if that’s because I’m getting fitter or because I didn’t work as hard! i think the latter is more likely. I felt like I was working hard though, sweat pouring everywhere!

I’m hoping I wont ache as much tomorrow!

30DS: Day 2

Day 2 went well. I got through the push ups better than I did yesterday, that may have been because yesterday I was carrying heavy stock so my arms were already tired. I have really bad upper body strength! But, this should start to get better with this workout!

I still ache, and felt like I was going to die during the workout. I’m apprehensive about what level 2 will be like, I’ve heard about some plank jumping jacks which I’m really dreading! My calves are one of the worst pains, but walking around and stretching them out will help!

I have a feeling day 3/4 will be one of the toughest, tomorrow because I have work all day so have to get up really early to do it, then go into work for 8 hours where I’ll no doubt have to carry heavy items. I’m hoping that once I’m past tomorrow it will get a little easier-until level up time!


30 Day shred: Day 1

The DVD didn’t arrive, but level 1 is on Youtube so I figured I’d do it from there until my DVD arrives!

The reviewers weren’t kidding when they said it was hard!

Definitely felt the burn, and I’m certain I’m going to ache tomorrow! It’s an intense circuit non-stop workout for 20 mins (excluding warm up & down). I want to do this every day and I’ve taken measurements and pics to measure my progress. I’m worried about doing it again tomorrow with achey muscles…I guess the answer is to just power through… but it’s going to hurt!!!

I’m determined to stick to this.


I am also using MyFitnessPal again as a way to keep track of how many calories I’m consuming. I’ll also be logging exercise on there so feel free to add me if you also use it! BexiBlueberry is my username 🙂



To weigh, or not to weigh…

I really didn’t want to weigh in today because I knew I had put on. I was right.

Highest weight: 213 pounds

Last weeks weight: 212 pounds

This weeks weight: 213 pounds

Put on the pound I lost last week.

Feel very stuck. been this weight or hereabouts for a year. drastic changes need to be made. and exercise needs to happen every day.

I bought Jillians 30 day shred DVD and was hoping it would arrive today, no such luck, it hasn’t been dispatched yet. A little annoyed about that, I want to do a workout today when I’m back from work and go swimming. Or, run and then swim.

It’s my food intake that’s letting me down, I did a lot of exercise last week and still put on. My food diary is a mess of overeating in the evenings. I need to actually plan my meals.

This week will be better. 3-7 pound loss would be good.


What do we do? We Swim, swim, swim!

Didn’t feel achey at all today from swimming yesterday, so I went swimming again today! yay!

I did 40 lengths (approximately) today, over 1/2 a mile. I say approximately because I lost count in the 20’s because I kept crashing into people or people crashed into me because I am so slow!

Not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but the only stroke I can really do is backstroke, so I’ve been trying to do breaststroke, and I’m super slow at it, and keep kicking the side of the pool by accident as well! I had sore toes after that I can tell you…

I don’t ache much now at all, I’m wondering if that’s because I alternate between strokes, so am using Muscles in different ways rather than sticking to one stroke.  I guess I’ll wait and see how I feel tomorrow…I may even go again! Although, it being a Saturday means it will probably be busy…Hmm. I’ll keep you posted.

Just Keep Swimming…

Finally went swimming today! Kept intending to go but then other things happened or needed to be done…you know how it goes.

I’d like to go swimming everyday, but I think that could get expensive! The gym has recently started doing swim-only memberships, which might be worth looking into, but as I get student swim rates anyway I would have to compare them to see which is cheaper!

did 20 lengths, a little over 1/4 mile. I’m really not a very good swimmer, very slow and not great at swimming in general.

definitely think looking into doing it more often would be a good idea, especially for when I don’t want to run or cant run because of footpaths being icy.
