Slimming World – Week 24 & 25

Hello All!

I neglected to post last week, so this week we have a 2 in 1. Good times.

So, here we go…

Week 23: 17st 6lb (244 pounds)
Week 24: 17st 3lb (241 pounds)
Week 25: 17st 4.5lb (242.5 pounds)

Hmm…kind of good. The good outweighs the bad over the last 2 weeks, a 1.5 pound loss overall. Finally seeing a little bit of a loss this week!

Planning things out and making an effort to include more speed foods in my meals is the way forwards, and avoiding the office snacks that have crept back in!!! damn holiday season…(JK I love Christmas).

I’ve started going to the gym again, keeping this up will hopefully boost my weight loss this week and launch me into a good streak in the run up to Christmas. Not long to go now…

Goal for Next Week: 17st 0lb (238 pounds)

Weigh in Wednesday

After my venting session last Thursday things have improved. I’m still eating well, and have spoken to the people that I was upset with and – hopefully – resolved things. All good. I’m in a better place emotionally now.

Last Week: 229.8 pounds
Today: 227.2 pounds
To lose for goal 1: 17.7 pounds

A loss of 2.6 pounds this week. Finally we are heading in the right direction again! Now I just need to keep up the better eating habits and keep on losing. I feel good because I’ve lost a little bit – I know I didn’t hit my target from last week (225 pounds) but a loss is a loss regardless. I may end up way off my March Goal, but I am still aiming for it, and will lose more this month in the run up towards it. If I can get within 7 pounds of it I’ll be pleased…

Biscuit Ban Update
This has been going surprisingly well. There are biscuits at work which I consider to be my favorites, but I haven’t touched them at all. I only crave them when I see other people eating them…But so far so good on the avoidance front.

Ben Nevis Update
My flu-cold is almost gone, so I am back into training for Ben Nevis now. At the weekend I did a 3.7km walk with steep hills on Saturday, followed by a 5km walk with some gentler hills on Sunday. Going forward I need to up the distance of the walks and get some more hills in.

Goals for Next Week
Weight: 224 pounds
Exercise: Walk 8km

Weigh in Wednesday

Morning one and all. It’s a week until Christmas and there is food all around. Oh the temptation…

Last week: 221 Pounds
Today: 220 pounds
21.12.14 Goal: 205 pounds – 15 pounds to go.

Clearly I’m going to miss out on my December goal. Theres no way to drop 15 pounds in 4 days without having some sort of major surgery…
On the plus side, I am back down to my lowest weight this year and I have some time left in 2014 to reach a new lowest weight.

Food
Last weeks goal: Eat within my calorie limit 6 / 7 days
I did: 4 / 7 days
Not so great on the food front, I know I’m eating badly but I’m really struggling to eat well. This holiday season is always all about the food, which makes is doubly hard for me because I love food, socialising around food, and overindulging over Christmas. I think this year will be slightly different because I am more aware of what I’m eating, so while I know I will overeat, I will also be curbing it so it doesn’t spiral out of control…

Exercise
Last weeks goal: Burn 1600 extra calories
I did: 587 calories, but overate by 1000 calories – 587 / 2600
I haven’t exercised anywhere near as much as I should or could have. If I had, I probably would have lost more weight this week. I need to keep trying for this.

Sleep
Last weeks goal: Get 8 hours sleep 4 / 7 nights
I did: 1 / 7 nights
That’s pretty bad. To be fair, there were a couple of nights that were between 7 and 8 hours sleep! Over the past 2 nights I’ve started to do a 5 minute yoga routine before bed. This has helped me to relax and get to sleep more quickly, so I want to continue this!

Goals for next week
Weight: 218 pounds
Food: Eat within my calorie limit 6 / 7 days
Exercise: Burn 1000 calories
Sleep: Get 8 hours sleep 4 / 7 nights

I will be doing a weigh in post on Sunday, to write about my 3 month goal and to rejig my upcoming goals to make sure they’re achievable!

Weigh in

Good morning all.

Today’s weigh in is: 225

Still stuck at the same weight. Last week I started doing the 5:2 diet, it went Ok, however because I over ate at the end of the week I haven’t seen any difference in my weight. This week will be a more ‘normal’ week so next week I will see a difference. I will!

Must lose a stone by Christmas……

Where did my optimism go?

I’m stuck. I have been for what…a year now? hovering around the same weight, any loss always gets put back on. Every time. usually with more on top of the original weight.

I keep telling myself to stop fanny assing around and actually do something about it, and it starts ok, then goes to crap again. and again. and again.

seem to be stuck on a plateau, one that balances between redemption and doomed forever. (a little over dramatic maybe)

I guess I just feel like I’ve been stuck at a wall for a long time, and nothing has changed.

I’m hoping they will soon.
