Another tough week, I’ve been made redundant so I’ve been focusing on job hunting more than anything else. My last day at work is Tuesday, so I’ve a few things to wrap up and then I’ll be stuck at home until I find a new job.
With all that going on I’ve not been focused on staying on plan at all. Luckily, I still managed a small loss this week – half a pound, bringing me back to half a stone loss overall.
Week 11 continued my streak of eating well and staying on plan, I was on track to lose another couple of pounds. Until we got to Friday.
I was going away for the weekend to see my family, and we had some food that needed to be eaten. Mainly bread, so my dinner consisted of a half baton with bacon and egg. And a cheese roll.
As you can guess, weigh in the next morning showed the bread-bloat and I ended up maintaining.
Next weigh-in I’m hoping to see the bread-bloat weight come off, and more. I’m aiming to get my 1 stone award this month, 5.5 pounds to go! I would like 3.5 off this week, then only 2 pounds to lose the week after, following my birthday…
Hello, it’s been a while.
I’ve been pottering along for a while, and have found myself at a bit of a loss with being healthy recently. I don’t have the motivation to create and stick to a food plan, or an exercise routine. I have so much going on that I’ve found it near impossible to do anything to be honest!
I made the decision last week to go back to my Slimming World group. I need the support and the motivation of going to group every week. It’s hard to admit when I can’t do something – I prefer to be independent and rely on myself, which has got me nowhere so far.
Going back to SW felt good, the friends I had made there before gave me a warm welcome and have been nothing but supportive – even when I admitted to overeating over the weekend following my first time back!
Keeping myself on track after the first month will be the difficult part – I know from last time I did SW how easy it is to slip and overeat on your Syns. That’s what ruined me last time…on the upside, I know that now and can attempt to control it. I’ll be using my bullet journal to keep track.
Here’s hoping for a good first week back at Slimming World…
2015 has passed us by, and I’m heavier than ever. I had a lengthy chat with my Slimming World consultant before Christmas, and we’re going to hit the restart button on my weight loss. Fresh for 2016.
On that note, I have a clean slate and a new start weight.

After Christmas weigh in: 17st 12.5lb (250.5 pounds)
30-01-16 goal: 17st 5lb (243 pounds) -7.5 pounds
I’m feeling positive, and have lots of inspiring recipes to try out. January is going to be a good month!
I did a quick drop-in to my slimming world group this week, I was busy on Saturday so I couldn’t stay to group unfortunately. I wasn’t particularly good last week, and I had 4 very bad food days, and the rest weren’t much better! unsurprisingly, I put on this week.
Last week: 17st 0.5lb (238.5 pounds)
This week: 17st 2.5lb (240.5 pounds)
Week 23 goal: 16st 13.5lb (237.5 pounds)
Next week I want to be down by 3 pounds, to get back on track for my goal of losing a stone by Christmas…thus for this week, I’ve been so much better with my food. There was some cake yesterday, but there’s the rest of the week for me to make up for that! I’ve been keeping track of my food in my little food planner, which is massively helpful!
I’m feeling positive, hoping I’m coming out of my food slump and getting back on track!!!
I’ve been part of Slimming World for 21 weeks. I have not lost any weight because I haven’t been following the plan – at the beginning I lost weight because I did actually follow the plan, but went off track and piled it back on again.
I’m not entirely sure about the reasons behind why I stopped or why I’m finding it hard to get back into it, but I’m trying. I recently bought a beautiful food and exercise planner, in which I can plan out my meals for the week and calculate how many syns I have. Getting into the habit of filling this out everyday is important, then I can integrate the Slimming World plan, and try the recipes I’ve been collecting.
For those who aren’t counting down yet – we have 7 weeks until Christmas. In that time I want to lose the stone I lost and put back on after starting slimming world. To achieve this, I need to be aiming for losses of 2 pounds every week. It’s time to get serious and push myself back into following the plan!

First week back onto doing Slimming World for a while, and it was tough. I had fallen back into the habit of just eating everything all the time and snacking a lot so I really struggled this week. I did a food diary all week and tracked my syns – even when I went massively over! I only managed to stay within my syn allowance on 1 day this week…oops.

I wasn’t expecting a 1.5 pounds loss this week. quite pleased with it, so I’m feeling more positive about being back on plan and keeping up with it – all down to the meal planning! I’ve discovered a few very interesting looking recipes on the SW website, so I’ll be aiming to give some of those a go soon too. Especially the desserts!!
