I have not been keeping up with posting at all this year have I? Ah well. These things happen.
I’ve been thinking a lot about weightlifting recently, alongside swimming & Pilates. I still enjoy Spin, however my knees and ankles are getting stiff and painful from doing it so I think I need to decrease the frequency I do that, and replace it with swimming which is much easier on the joints!
I have my wedding to think about now, so I really need to get serious with my eating habits and stop prancing around with junk food. The exercise part I can do, I just really struggle with food!!
I did eat loads of melon today though, which is an improvement on cookies. I’ll get there. I need to practice resisting urges & I have some techniques I can do to help with that, just need to keep practising resistance.
Went to the gym yesterday, and did day 2 of a programme I got from bodybuilding.com. They have printable logs to fill out as you go, which are extremely handy! I’m going to crack on with this and hopefully see a pleasing result by the end of the month (it’s a 12 week plan but will be tracking and measuring monthly).

January was hard – I had to leave Slimming World due to financial difficulties, so it took me a little while to adjust to that. Then February came and flew by; it was a busy one for me, my birthday month so you can imagine what my eating habits were like! On the more positive side, I’ve been doing pilates and spin classes every week, and I’ve been dipping my toes back into running. So on the exercise front, I’ve been doing really well and I’m proud of myself for sticking with my classes.
Alongside this, I’ve had a couple of health checks – one in January, and one on 1st March. In these they measured my body fat, which I am interested in keeping track of…here’s how I’m doing this year…
January BF: 45.5%
March BF: 43.79%
January: 250.5 pounds
March: 252 pounds
So I have put on weight since the beginning of the year (not much, I might add!) BUT, I have lost body fat sooo…that’s a win for me! I’m trying to eat well through March, and keep up with exercising regularly – which I have been doing with pilates and spin.
Fingers crossed for more loss at the end of March!
Another week has gone and Christmas is getting closer. With the holiday season comes many, many temptations. Some of which I have to admit I did indulge in…

An unexpected loss of 0.5 pounds. Excellent! I’m glad I’m heading in that direction, and I’m feeling positive about the coming week. I’ve printed a plan to follow and have been shopping to get the foods required for it, so far so good. I just need to avoid the holiday cheer until at Friday! I have my work Christmas party which I plan to enjoy on Friday evening…so I’ll be weighing in early next week too.

Hmm…kind of good. The good outweighs the bad over the last 2 weeks, a 1.5 pound loss overall. Finally seeing a little bit of a loss this week!
Planning things out and making an effort to include more speed foods in my meals is the way forwards, and avoiding the office snacks that have crept back in!!! damn holiday season…(JK I love Christmas).
I’ve started going to the gym again, keeping this up will hopefully boost my weight loss this week and launch me into a good streak in the run up to Christmas. Not long to go now…

I did a quick drop-in to my slimming world group this week, I was busy on Saturday so I couldn’t stay to group unfortunately. I wasn’t particularly good last week, and I had 4 very bad food days, and the rest weren’t much better! unsurprisingly, I put on this week.
Last week: 17st 0.5lb (238.5 pounds)
This week: 17st 2.5lb (240.5 pounds)
Week 23 goal: 16st 13.5lb (237.5 pounds)
Next week I want to be down by 3 pounds, to get back on track for my goal of losing a stone by Christmas…thus for this week, I’ve been so much better with my food. There was some cake yesterday, but there’s the rest of the week for me to make up for that! I’ve been keeping track of my food in my little food planner, which is massively helpful!
I’m feeling positive, hoping I’m coming out of my food slump and getting back on track!!!
I forgot to post. Well, I didn’t forget, it was just difficult to blog without the internet in the flat…plus I’ve been work-busy-sleep-work-ing.

Annndd there it is. Not particularly looking forward to weigh in this Saturday, but I’ll try to keep my hopes up about it, and not eat biscuits at work!!!! (at least, don’t eat them so that I go over my syn count)

First week back onto doing Slimming World for a while, and it was tough. I had fallen back into the habit of just eating everything all the time and snacking a lot so I really struggled this week. I did a food diary all week and tracked my syns – even when I went massively over! I only managed to stay within my syn allowance on 1 day this week…oops.

I wasn’t expecting a 1.5 pounds loss this week. quite pleased with it, so I’m feeling more positive about being back on plan and keeping up with it – all down to the meal planning! I’ve discovered a few very interesting looking recipes on the SW website, so I’ll be aiming to give some of those a go soon too. Especially the desserts!!
