Weigh In – Slimming World Week 5

This was a bad week. I didn’t follow the plan, and it definitely shows!

Last Weeks Weigh In: 15st 12lb (222 pounds)
Week 5 Weigh in: 16st 2.5lb (226.5 pounds)
Weight Loss To Date: 9.5 pounds

Definitely let it go this week, and it shows with a 4.5 pound gain! So crap. I can only blame myself…I knew I wasn’t eating well.

I am back on the proverbial wagon this week, it’s going well so far…I’m really eager to get the weigh I put back on off again, so I’m aiming for a high loss this week.

To Lose for Club 10: 15 pounds
To Lose for Ultimate Goal: 93.5 pounds

Goal for Next Week: 5 pounds

Weigh In – Slimming World Week 4

Week 4. These 4 weeks have flown by! My gosh.

Here’s my weigh in…

Last Weeks Weigh In: 16st 0lb (224 pounds)
Week 4 Weigh In: 15st 12lb (222 pounds)
Weight Loss to Date: 13.5 pounds

Last week I set a goal of 3 pounds, I got 2 pounds which is great – but I am half a pound away from getting my 1 stone award! How annoying! I took my measurements when I started, and I took them again yesterday – 4 weeks apart. Here are the differences after 1 month:

Bust: -1.5 inches
Waist: -1.5 inches
Hips: -2 inches
Lower hips (Bottom!): -1 inches
Arm: -0.5 inches

That’s 6.5 inches lost all together! To top that off, I wore a pair of shorts today that when I bought them 6 weeks ago were a struggle to button up…Seeing and feeling results like that makes me feel happier and more motivated to continue. Up until the past couple of days I didn’t really see any difference in myself.

Food-wise I was pretty bad over the weekend and at the beginning of the week, then I behaved myself and stayed within my syns the past couple of days. I do feel like the weekend is going to catch up with me and affect my weight loss next week, but we shall see…

To Lose for Club 10: 10.5 pounds
To Lose for Ultimate Goal: 89 pounds

Goal for Next Week: 2 pounds

Weigh In – Slimming World week 3

Week 3 of slimming world was not a good as the previous two. I had a feeling I hadn’t lost as much, turns out I was right…

Last Weeks Weigh In: 16st 0.5lb (224.5 pounds)
Week 3 Weigh In: 16st 0lb (224 pounds)
Loss to Date: 11.5 pounds

I was hoping for a 3 pound loss this week, but I knew I hadn’t got it and the scales showed that. I went over my syns on a couple of days last week and I think that caught up with me this week. But there we go.

Apologies for the short post this week, I have a lot to do this morning!!

To Lose for Club 10: 12.5 pounds
To Lose for Ultimate Goal: 91 pounds

Goal for Next Week: 3 pounds

Have a good weekend!

Weigh In – Slimming World Week 2

Another week has flown by! This week was harder. I found it much harder to resist foods and ended up going over my ‘syns’ on 3 days this week. Oops. I also did a couple of ‘SP’ days (speed/protein foods) to try and boost my weight loss and make up for the over-syn days.

Well, without further preamble, my weigh in:

Last Weeks Weigh In: 16st 4lb (228 pounds)
Week 2 Weigh In: 16st 0.5lb (224.5 pounds)
Loss to Date: 11 pounds

11 pounds in 2 weeks…I still feel a bit like this is all temporary and will suddenly pile back on again. I think I’m just worrying about putting the weight back on again, only time will show me I can keep it off, I suppose.

To Lose for Club 10: 13 pounds
To Lose for Ultimate Goal: 91.5 pounds

I’m not feeling a difference in myself with what I’ve lost so far, my clothes still feel the same and I don’t think I’m any smaller. I have no idea where the weight is coming off from!

Slimming World Week 1

As you all know, I started Slimming World a week ago. The plan is easy to follow, though I struggle with it when there are trigger foods around! I’m not going hungry, which is great. Planing food ahead is really important, and something that I’m having to spend a lot of time thinking about.

First Week Weigh in
Start Weight: 16st 11.5lb (235.5 pounds)
Week 1 Weigh in: 16st 4lb (228 pounds)
Loss to date: 7.5 pounds

7.5 pounds in 1 week. I knew it would be a big loss in the first week but that’s still a lot! I received my first 1/2 stone sticker and certificate which was kind of embarrassing but gratifying at the same time. I know next week’s loss won’t be as much, which makes me feel a bit sad – it would be amazing to lose half a stone every week! I’m aiming for a 3 pound loss for next week. Which is good as yesterday I overindulged on the wine…

Weigh ins…

For a very long time I’ve done ‘Weigh in Wednesday’ posts. I like doing it on a Wednesday, the title has a good ring to it. But, my Slimming World weigh-ins are on a Thursday evening. These will differ from weighing in on a Wednesday morning as usually I wouldn’t have eaten anything, then obviously on a Thursday evening I will have eaten through the day. So, I’m going to switch to the Thursday weigh-ins, otherwise things will get confusing!

Additional to the above, I think I need to reset my weight goals in line with the Slimming World ones and run with it from there.

SW Start Weight 04.06.15: 235.5 pounds (16st 11.5lb)
Club 10* Goal: 211.5 pounds (15st 1.5lb)
Ultimate goal: 133 pounds (9st 7lb)
*Club 10 is losing 10% of your original weight

Self-Imposed Goals
1st Goal: Reach Club 10 goal (211.5 pounds) by 16.07.15
2nd Goal: 204.5 (14st 8.5lb) by 06.08.15
3rd Goal: 190.5 (13st 8.5lb) by 24.09.15

For now I’ll stick to those, then when I reach them I can set some more! Have a great weekend!

Race for Life 2015 – Pre-Race

Today is the day. I’m going to be doing Race for Life this evening after work, I wont be running as originally planned, but I will be walking it. Possibly getting some power walking in there once I’m warmed up! (Providing my insides don’t burst out of me…)

I’m aiming to complete the 5k route in 60 minutes – this is 15 minutes longer than it took me to run it last year, but I know that my fast walk is a similar pace to my jogging pace soo…it makes sense.

My plan for is to start off gently, then once I warm up a bit – maybe after 10 minutes or so (after the crowd thins out at the start of the race), increase my walking speed and get into a comfortable faster pace. I will be listening to my Harry Potter audio book along the way, which I am sure will make the time fly by! (I LOVE HP)

You can still donate to Cancer Research through my sponsor link, every little helps!

See you on the other side…
